Old Fort, Saints, GCC win in National Indoor Hockey

Old Fort, Saints and GBTI Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) recorded respective divisional wins when the Guyana Hockey Board (GHB) National Indoor Championships continued last night at the National Gymnasium on Mandela Avenue.

In the Men’s 1st Division, Old Fort thrashed GCC Outlaws 8-4, while Saints schooled Masters 6-4. In the Women’s Division, GBTI GCC downed Hikers 6-3 and then extinguished Old Fort Inferno 2-0.

Meanwhile, Masters crushed GCC Outlaws 4-1 in the Men’s 1st Division.

In the Men’s 2nd Division, Old Fort and Saints played to a 3-3 stalemate, while GCC Spare Parts and GCC Outlaws tussled to a 1-1 draw, and GCC Outlaws and Saints battled to a 1-1 draw. Also, GCC Vintage and Hikers played to a 2-2 draw, while Hikers defeated Old Fort 7-5 in the Over 40 Division. In the Women’s Division, Saints and National Over-40 played to a 3-3 draw, while Saints defeated Hikers 4-1.
