Man found dead at Nabaclis sea dam – INews Guyana

Police are investigating the death of Dwayne Robertson, called ‘El Paso’, a 45-year-old Guyanese male of African descent, who resided at Golden Grove, East Coast Demerara. The body was discovered in a partially decomposed state at Nabaclis sea dam, East Coast Demerara.
Enquiries disclosed that the now deceased man had resided with his parents and siblings. Family members reported that Dwayne was an alcoholic and habitually stayed away from home for prolonged periods.
On Sunday (2025/09/21), at about 09:00 hrs, the deceased was seen at a shop in Nabaclis, consuming alcohol. He became intoxicated and subsequently fell, hitting his head on a concrete floor. He did not seek medical attention but returned home.
Later, at about 18:00 hrs on the same date, while at home, Dwayne reportedly became delirious, running about and shouting that the police were trying to kill him. Family members attempted to calm him, but by 23:00 hours, they lost track of him.
On Monday, 2025/09/22, at about 21:00 hrs, Dwayne’s 68-year-old father, William Roberson, filed a Missing Person report for him at the Cove and John Police Station. The family continued to make checks for him.
On Tuesday, at about 06:30 hrs, Dwayne’s sister, Tameica Glasgow, was informed by villagers that her brother had been located motionless in a trench. A report was subsequently made at Cove and John Police Station.
Upon arrival at the scene, the deceased’s body was discovered lying face up in a trench. The body was retrieved and examined for marks of violence, but no visible injuries were observed.
The body was pronounced dead by a Doctor at the Enmore Regional Hospital, then escorted to Memorial Gardens Funeral Home for storage, pending a Post-Mortem Examination.
Investigation ongoing.
