Stewartville man charged with murder of boy,15,

Balram Bessessar, called Navin, a 49-year-old labourer of Stewartville, West Coast Demerara, was arrested on 2025-10-03 and charged on 2025-10-07 with the murder of Sudesh Singh, called Joel, a 15-year-old from Stewartville, on 2025-10-03.

The accused appeared at the Vreed-en-Hoop Magistrate’s Court, before Magistrate Singh, where the charge was read to him. He was not required to plead and was remanded to prison. The next court date is 2025-10-10.
