Enmore lorry driver charged over fatal accident
Budendra Singh, a 32-year-old motor lorry driver of Enmore, East Coast Demerara, has been charged in connection with a fatal accident which occurred on Sunday September 7, 2025, on the Enmore New Housing Scheme Access Road, East Coast Demerara, resulting in the death of Kimberly Singh.
The police say that the allegation is that Singh drove a motor vehicle in a manner dangerous to the public, thereby causing the death of Kimberly Singh.
Today, Singh appeared at the Cove and John Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Orinthia Schmidt, where the charge was read to him.
He pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of $250,000.
The matter was adjourned to January 28, 2026.
