Iqbal hits 140 not out

Cricket West Indies’ President’s XI gave a good account of itself on the opening day of their warm up match against Bangladesh who closed on 274 for six after 82.5 overs.

Playing at the Coolidge Cricket Ground, Antigua, Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bat first but lost Mahmudul Joy for a six-ball duck, the batsman giving a simple catch to Tevin Imlach off of Jeremiah Louis.

However, Iqbal forged ahead with an unbeaten 140 from 240 balls. The 33-year-old left hander struck 19 fours and a six during his innings.
