Mixed Martial Arts team cops two silver medals

Guyana ended its participation in the inaugural International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) Pan American Championships Monterrey, Mexico with two silver medals.

Carl Ramsey lost in the men’s heavyweight final via Technical Knockout (TKO) in the second round to Trinidad and Tobago competitor Jeremy Rodulfo yesterday.

Ramsey had earned his place in the championship match after defeating Mexican Juan Rodriguez who failed to leave his corner at the start of the second round. The match was Ramsey’s debut in the tournament.
