Rampersaud, Sandia spin Berbice to innings and 31-run win

Six-wicket hauls from Jonathan Rampersaud and Jeremy Sandia spun Berbice to an innings and 31-run win over Rising Stars as the Guyana Cricket Board three-day inter-county tournament clash ended yesterday at La Bonne Intention with a day to spare.

Asked to bat, Berbice posted 174 all out in 73.2 overs while Rising Stars were bundled out twice yesterday for 71 and 72 respectively.

The tall off-spinner from Portuguese Quarters, Rampersaud bagged 6-36 in Rising Stars’ first innings including the wickets of Jayden Dowlin and Avishkar Beharry off of successive deliveries to wrap up the innings.
