Man acquitted of raping girl 10 years ago
Thirty-six-year-old Linton Davidson who was accused of raping a 13-year-old girl on six occasions 10 years ago, was yesterday acquitted on all charges when a jury returned not guilty verdicts.
Following hours of deliberations, the 12-member panel was unanimous on all six counts, finding Davidson not guilty of the charges which had been levelled against him.
The man whose growing relief was evident as the foreman announced the verdicts for each of the six counts, was then told by trial Judge Simone Morris-Ramlall that he was “free to go.”
