BREAKING: Guyanese man kills ex-girlfriend and takes own life in Nevis – News Source Guyana

Police and Fire investigators in the the twin-island nation of St. Kitts-Nevis are probing a murder suicide case in Nevis.

According to reports, Guyanese national Standford Azore stabbed his ex-girlfriend to death at their home before setting the house ablaze, taking his own life in the inferno.

News Source is still trying to confirm the name of the girlfriend.

There are reports that a friend of the dead girlfriend had also been attacked by the man before he set the house ablaze. The friend who survived the attack is hospitalised with injuries.

Reports out of Nevis indicate that two adult bodies were discovered in the charred remains of the house.

The incident took place this afternoon. The couple reportedly shared two young children and the woman had ended the relationship with the man several months ago. Reports indicate that there were a number of Police complaints filed against the man over several threats that he had made against the mother of his children.

Investigations are underway.
