Bandits rob Herstelling supermarket – Stabroek News
The Police are looking for the four armed suspects who robbed the Wen Jie Supermarket at Herstelling, East Bank Demerara at about 8.46 pm last night.
The four armed bandits escaped on foot after robbing the Supermarket of about $500,000 in cash, the police say.
Two of the suspects shot at the motorcycle anti crime patrol that responded to the robbery scene. The police patrol returned fire and one of the bandits is suspected to be injured. They escaped through bushes at Phase One Farm, EBD.
Police ranks are combing the area for the bandits and are reviewing CCTV footage of the brazen robbery.
