Guyana, UAE sign MoU for visa-free travel

The governments of Guyana and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that allows for visa-free travel between the two nations, a Department of Public Information (DPI) release has announced, describing it as a significant step towards advancing bilateral relations and easing travel restrictions.

A release by the UAE Mission to the United Nations (UN) stated that the MoU was signed on Thursday on the sidelines of the 79th Session of the UN General Assembly.

It stated that President Irfaan Ali met with UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem Al Hashimy to sign the document, “establishing mutual exemption of entry visa requirements between the two countries.”
