Laparkan says some of its containers delayed

The management of Laparkan shipping says that delays being experienced by the shipping lines globally have impacted the timely arrival of some of its containers.

A public advisory in today’s Kaieteur News read “… please be advised that delays currently being experienced by the shipping lines globally has impacted the timely arrival of some of our containers (especially from NY). These containers are now rescheduled to arrive in Guyana during the month of December”.

The advisory added that “in an effort to get the cargo to our customers before and during the holidays, please note that Laparkan will be working the following extended hours. Mondays – Fridays December 9th to 13th, 16th to 20th, 23rd, 27th and 30th, from 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM and Saturdays December 14th and 21st, from 8 AM to 4 PM.

There will however be an early closure at 5 PM on December 24th, (Christmas Eve day).

The also stated that their door to door delivery will be working the same hours but until 9 PM if necessary.

The notice continued “Customers will be notified via phone calls, email blasts, SMS along with posts on our social media platforms once their cargo is available for clearance”.

It said that urgent enquiries can be made by contacting 592 226-1095-1097 & 333 4262 or via their email gy@laparkan.com.
The company has apologized for any inconvenience caused and thanked their customers for their patience and continued support.
