Hotel owners among several persons in custody over death of Adrianna Younge – INews Guyana

Several persons are in police custody for questioning in relation to the death of 11-year-old Adrianna Younge, according to well-placed sources.

Among those in custody are the owners of the hotel as well as some employees.

Nearly 24 hours after Younge went missing, her body was found in a pool at the Double Day Hotel at Tuschen, East Bank Essequibo (EBE) – under questionable circumstances.

The incident has caused countrywide outrage and has led to fiery protests and the burning down of the hotel, after the child’s body, which had marks of violence, was discovered in the pool – that was previously searched and turned up emptyhanded.

The situation was further fueled by an apparent mishandling of the case by the Guyana Police Force (GPF).
