Motorcyclist dies in Essequibo Coast accident; truck fled scene – INews Guyana
A 27-year-old motorcyclist is now dead after he was struck by a truck on the Essequibo Coast this afternoon.
Dead is Ghanesh Chris Raghubir of Adventure, Essequibo Coast. He was a pharmacy technician attached to the Suddie Hospital.
The accident occurred along the Queenstown Public Road in Region Two (Pomeroon- Supenaamm).

According to eyewitnesses, Raghubir was riding his motorcycle when a speeding truck collided with him. The motorcyclist was flung off the bike and landed several feet away onto the roadway.
Despite him wearing a helmet as well as riding gear at the time, Raghubir sustained severe head injuries upon impact on the road. In fact, suspected brain matter was observed scattered on the roadway close to his body.
The truck driver reportedly fled the scene, failing to stop after hitting the motorcyclist.
He was subsequently arrested by Police on the Essequibo Coast.
