Former police constable gets four years over drugs
A former Police Constable was today sentenced to four years imprisonment on a narcotics charge.
Albert Beresford appeared before Magistrate Fabayo Azore at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
The charge alleged that Beresford along with others on January 16, 2023 at Cove and John, East Coast Demerara (ECD), had in his possession 170 grams of cocaine and 9.4 kilograms of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.
