The $1.3 billion facility, constructed by Sigma Engineering Ltd with a team largely comprising Guyanese engineers and workers, will serve several rapidly growing communities in Georgetown. The plant is expected to serve over 10,000 residents from Cummings Lodge, Cummings Park, North Ruimveldt, South Rumveldt Park, South Ruimveldt Gardens, Lamaha Springs, Lamaha Park, Festival City, Tucville, Stevedore Housing Scheme, and along Heroes Highway.
