In a dramatic showdown at the Prince Faisal Bin Fahad Stadium during the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, Guyanese athlete Emanuel Archibald secured a bronze medal in the men’s long jump.
His achievement, leaping to 7.56 m, added a proud moment for Guyana on the international stage.
The competition was topped by Uzbekistan’s Anvar Anvarov, who soared to the gold medal with an impressive leap of 8.09 m. Amath Faye of Senegal took the silver, delivering a strong performance with a jump of 7.86 m to round out the podium.
