Kingston College run riot with 28-goal rout, St Benedict’s secure big win

Kingston College of Jamaica delivered a ruthless display of attacking football yesterday when they demolished ACEA of The Bahamas 28–0, as the KFC International Schools Goodwill Football Tournament continued with round two action at the Queen’s College Ground.
For the second consecutive match, the Bahamian defence shipped 20+ goals, after the first round 1-24 loss against defending champions Chase’s Academic Foundation.
The Jamaicans were firmly in control from the opening whistle and led 11–0 at halftime, setting the tone for what became one of the most one-sided results in the history of the tournament. Nthanda Scott opened the floodgates as early as the second minute before adding his second in the 21st. Own goals from Ashante Rolle in the fourth minute and Volrick Higgs Jr. in the 17th compounded ACEA’s early woes.
Kingston’s relentless pressure produced goals almost at will. Shaquon Elliott struck in the 24th and 40th minutes and later completed his hat-trick in the 52nd. Davion Clarke was equally destructive, scoring four times in a nine-minute burst between the 29th and 38th minutes, before adding further goals in the 46th and 61st. Rodney Grandstand netted just before the break in the 45th minute as Kingston went into halftime with an unassailable advantage.
