Guyana accredits Ambassador to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Guyana accredited its first Non-resident Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday during a simple ceremony which paved the way for strengthened bilateral relations between the two countries.
Safraaz Ahmad Shadood, who currently serves as Guyana’s Ambassador to the State of Qatar, presented his letter of credence to the Deputy Minister for Protocol Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Abdul Majeed Al Smari, accrediting him as Guyana’s non-resident Ambassador.
After the presentation of credentials, Ambassador Shadood and His Excellency Al Smari held discussions on strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
Guyana established formal diplomatic relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on February 22, 2012.
