Four held in Montrose cocaine bust

On Monday 29 th December 2025, Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) Officers, acting on information received, conducted an operation in the vicinity of Broad Street, Montrose, East Coast Demerara,
where they intercepted a motor vehicle.

A release from CANU said that a subsequent search of the vehicle revealed twenty-seven brick-like parcels, each containing a quantity of cocaine.
Andre Moonilall, Jermain Adams, Sherwin Laundry, and Amanda Lam were arrested and escorted to CANU Headquarters, along with the narcotics, which weighed 31.452 kilogrammes.
Investigations are ongoing, CANU said.
