Norton blames ‘internal division’ for PNCR’s historic defeat
In a reflection on the People’s National Congress Reform’s (PNCR) recent performance at the polls, APNU Leader Aubrey Norton has identified internal fracturing as the primary catalyst for the party’s failure to secure a single region in the September 1st 2025 General Elections.
Speaking at a Ghana Day celebration on March 8th, Norton addressed the turbulence that has defined the A Partnership for National Unity (APNU) coalition over the last year. He pointed specifically to a breakdown in party discipline and the “culture” of internal challenges.
“As a party, I felt that one of the biggest problems we had in the last elections was the level that the internal division went to,” Norton told the gathering.
