Protests continue over Adrianna’s death
-three overseas pathologists due for post-mortem
-former Region Three commander sent on leave
As protests continue over the death of 11-year-old Adrianna Younge, three pathologists from overseas are likely to be here for the crucial post-mortem and the former commander of Region Three has been sent on leave to facilitate the probe.
Various parts of the country have been convulsed by protests and yesterday these erupted at Belladrum, West Berbice (see story on page 11.)
Meanwhile, following days of condemnation of his performance, the police yesterday announced that Khalid Mandall, who was the commander of Region Three at the time of the girl’s death has been sent on administrative leave to facilitate the probe (see story on page 10.)
Younge went missing on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, while on a family outing with her grandmother and other relatives at the Double Day International Hotel poolside in Tuschen, East Bank Essequibo.
