If you are an undecided voter, PPP is the party for you – Jagdeo – INews Guyana
General Secretary of the People’s Progressive Party (PPP) and Vice President of Guyana Dr Bharrat Jagdeo has declared that the party will secure a landslide victory at this year’s General and Regional Elections.
Speaking at the party’s campaign launch at the Kitty Market Square, he said this is an easy campaign but what is important is getting people out to vote and getting the votes counted.
Jagdeo noted that a PPP victory is inevitable but only “if you do the work”.
“I need everyone of you here…to promise me that when you go back to the communities, you will work to carry our message,” he said.
The PPP GS also encouraged supporters to be vigilant and diligent during this elections period.
Meanwhile, he emphasised that the PPP is a party that is trustworthy and that is unifying Guyana.
He also noted that the PPP is the only party that has unveiled a proper plan to take the country forward.
Jagdeo highlighted that the PPP’s competitors have nothing to offer.
“(People) don’t want to go to a criminal party…that has no future for their children…this guy is just trying to save his a$$,” Jagdeo said, referring to the party launched by US-sanctioned businessman Azruddin Mohamed.
He said the other parties have no clear plan to develop the country.
“If you are sitting at home undecided, this is the party for you”, Jagdeo said.
Referring to the APNU and AFC’s claims that they never had oil money to execute plans, Jagdeo contended “it’s not oil, stupid…it is good management.”
He further pointed out that is “not about how much money you have, it is what you choose to do with it” and the PPP has chosen to prioritise the citizens.
Jagdeo spoke about the massive development taking place across the country, indicating that a vote for any other party could reverse all the progress.
