Three charged over 70 kilos of cocaine

Devon Haynes and Narindra Singh appeared today before Magistrate Alicia George at the Leonora Magistrate’s Court on charges related to the possession of 70.008 kilogrammes of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

A release from the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) said that both Haynes and Singh pleaded not guilty to the charge. Bail was refused and they were remanded to prison until 20th February 2026. Additionally, Mark Jainarine appeared before Magistrate George as well to answer the charge of aiding in the commission of trafficking the said 70.008 kilogrammes of cocaine, to which he pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of $600,000. His matter has also been adjourned to 20th February 2026, CANU said.
