Three juveniles, adult charged for Windsor Forest attack
Further to the report of an incident which occurred on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at First Lady Park, Windsor Forest, West Coast Demerara and which was captured in a video circulated on social media, police have since instituted charges against four persons in connection with the matter.
The police today said that the four persons include three juveniles, all residing in Region Three and 18-year-old Shaquan Straker of Zeelugt, East Bank Essequibo.
They were jointly charged with the offence of Attempting to Commit a Misdemeanor, namely Common Assault.
Additionally, one of the juveniles and Straker were jointly charged with Attempting to Commit a Felony, namely Robbery with Aggravation.
Yesterday, the accused appeared at the Leonora Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Rabindranauth Singh, where the charges were read to them. They all pleaded not guilty and were granted bail in the sum of $100,000 each.
The matter was postponed to Wednesday March 18, 2026.
