Refined fuels deal at centre of US lawsuit
A deal between the Guyana Government and a US company for a refined fuels deal is now at the centre of litigation in an American court over alleged misuse of confidential trade information and other matters.
A former United States congressman has been sued over allegations that he used confidential trade information to pursue a lucrative fuel supply venture in Guyana, according to a report by the Nashville Banner out of Tennessee in the United States of America.
The lawsuit, filed in Florida at the end of February, named former Tennessee congressman Mark Green, lobbyist and corporate attorney Marc C. Hebert, and Hebert’s law firm Jones Walker LLP.
