US$29m Sheraton Hotel open for business

The US$29 million Four Points Sheraton Hotel in Georgetown has been declared open with hotel officials highlighting that it brings a once-in-a-lifetime hospitality experience to both international travellers and the local community as it combines global standards with Guyanese identity.

Local craftwork from this country’s Indigenous peoples is intertwined in the design mix of the hotel, ranging from chairs and barstools, bedside lamp shades, the reception area backdrop, and wall art for all the floors.

The hotel has five rooms specially catering to differently-abled persons.
