Nazima Raghubir re-elected as head of GPA

Nazima Raghubir was today re-elected as Head of the Guyana Press Association (GPA).

She defeated the only other contender for the post of President, Neil Marks by the margin of 70 to 25. There was one spoilt vote.

The highly contentious election was held at the Theatre Guild in Kingston.

Before voting took place accusations flew back and forth over the construction of the list of voters and administrative matters.
