1 killed in three-lorry crash at Land of Canaan – INews Guyana

 

 

 

One person has died in a three-lorry accident at Land of Canaan, East Bank Demerara accident on Tuesday morning.

Dead is 55-year-old Christenpaul Ramkissoon called “Rambo” of Montrose, East Coast Demerara, who was the driver of one of the trucks involved in the crash.

Reports are that the accident occurred sometime after 03:00h as Ramkissoon was heading to the sandpit along the Soesdyke-Linden Highway.

Reports are that Ramkissoon was driving behind two trucks that were heading in the same direction. The trucks ahead of him reportedly collided, forcing Ramkissoon to apply his brakes. However, he was unable to avoid the crash.

Ramkissoon leaves to mourn his wife, two children and granddaughter.
